Mr. Rick Stroud was professional, courteous, and most importantly of all: he under-promised and over-delivered. This includes how he:(1) Continually remained in contact with the mortgage banker so that on every house we looked at - which ranged from regular homes, to foreclosures to a flood-plain home and an estate sale which needed a construction loan - the financing would not have been an issue. This saved considerable hassle;(2) Met with my wife and I at houses which sometimes were very distant from each other at awkward times without complaint or difficulty (my wife and I both working full-time plus my night classes), and(3) Was concerned with our success in obtaining a satisfactory home over squeezing every dime from us. The purchase of our home is a case in point: After looking unsuccessfully for several months, we finally found the house I'm sitting in writing this review. During the months we were on the house-hunt, a considerable upsurge in market pressure occurred. By the time we were the final offeror on the house, this pressure gave the seller (Fannie Mae) the impetus to ask far above what this home eventually appraised for. In this touchy situation where searching time was running out for my wife and I, Rick could have leveraged our concern and counseled us to agree to the inflated price (and thus receive a larger commission); however, he didn't. Characteristically unflappable, Rick didn't insist and told us that we'd be paying too much, and that our initial response to wait was the right decision. He even wrote a letter to the seller's agent using an 'affirmative defense', if you will, reflecting this decision. In the end, Fannie Mae accepted, and his professionalism prevented my wife and I from overpaying. The best testimony I can give is that I even recommended Mr. Stroud to my 88-year-old grandmother without hesitation. If having a professional, prepared individual who takes selling and buying homes as seriously as any doctor or lawyer, then Mr. Stroud is your guy.

Every step of the way Rick provided information, feedback and direction. He explained everything concisely and in easy to understand terms. Rick was with me at every step of the process making sure I was comfortable with each step.

Rick did an amazing job for me. He both sold my home and helped me buy a new one. He helped me determine what upgrades were needed in my home to help it sell at the best possible price. I had so many showings and sold it quickly! My new home is a dream and I am glad he helped me prioritize what was most important during my search.
